God Wants Relationship

Brothers and Sisters, I write today with a word of encouragement that we should begin to transition our faith in God beyond the transactions of this world. For yes, God knows our needs and desires. God knows that which this world has made difficult to access that you have need of and in his word, he has already told us through the Apostle Paul that he shall supply all our needs according to his riches in glory.

Philippians 4:19

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

From the very beginning of man’s journey into the flesh God has supplied all man's needs. His first instructions to man after creation, were to be fruitful, multiple, replenish, subdue and have dominion. Within those instructions was also a proclamation that provided man with all needed to live upon and manage the earth.

Genesis 1:28-29

And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moves upon the earth.

And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed, to you it shall be for meat.

Even following the original sin of Adam and Eve, God clothed them and prepared them for life outside of the Garden before driving them out.

Genesis 3:21

Unto Adam also and to his wife did the lord God make coats of the skins and clothed them

Provision provided by God is a benefit of relationship and affiliation and from the very beginning has been a promise made to the children of God and those who believe.

Pslam 103:2-5

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.

Who forgives all thine iniquities, who heals all thy diseases,

Who redeems thy life from destruction, who crowns thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies.

Who satisfies thy mouth with good things, so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

God is now calling us beyond our transactions to restore a beloved relationship. As I wrote in my previous blog post, God wants to be our father yet again. He wants to walk and talk with us. He wants to see us enjoy the fruit of his creation yet again.

For his original intention was never to have man toil to survive upon the earth. It was through man’s disobedience which brought on shame, which birthed condemnation brought on by pride, man’s fate was changed.

But in the promise of and sacrifice that came, through Jesus Christ man was redeemed from the curse of the law.

Galatians 3:13

Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, cursed is every one that hangs on a tree.

If we take a pause and step out of world reactivity and allow God to show us himself again; he will show us our pathway to sustainment and provision for everything we need.

God has always wanted to be more than our provider. He desires to be our loving father, our friend, our guide in his world.

I encourage you to step beyond praying to God for things and provision. Ask God to show himself to us again, that we may know and believe in him as our father and provider yet again. For it is our unbelief in God’s word that continues to cause us to sweat from our brow and toil dry ground to survive.

Let us be reminded:

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  - John 3:16

God did not sacrifice his beloved Son’s manifested time on Earth to watch us toil and suffer and solely cast up prayers for more things that for many have brought upon our separation from the faith.
