God wants to restore your victory

This week’s word of edification is simple.

God wants to restore your Victory.

With so much confusion swirling around the world today, it is not surprising that a frequent topic of focus of those who share the gospel is Victory.

Victory over the flesh. Victory over sin. Victory over death. Victory over man. Victory over COVID.

Today I am here to co-sign on that message and point that Victory to where God truly wants to see your Victory restored, and that is in your relationship with him as Creator, Father, and Source.

1 John 5:4 tells us

For whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world, even our faith.

When we accept our identify as children of God, purposefully born into this world, God has automatically granted us Victory over everything and anything that is of this world which would attack or faith.

We don’t have to beg for it. We don’t have to plead with God for it. We don’t have to compete for it.

As Children of God; God has given us his Victory.

And what is God’s Victory?

John 3:17

For God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Galatians 3:13

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us; for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree.

The Victory God has given us is in salvation from the stings of death of this world packaged as enslavement, poverty, condemnation, shame, and every ism in the world lexicon.

This Victory is an automatic birthright through relationship with God.

So, again, Yes God wants to restore your Victory. The Victory that restores our relationship with God.

It is through our relationship with God, that the world can and shall be saved.

Saved from its nature of greed. Saved from its nature of fear. Saved from its nature of condemnation and violence.

It is through our relationship with God, that for most people we come to acknowledge our limitations as well as our interdependencies. Having a personal and collective relationship with God as Creator, Father and Source realigns our realty into a broader understanding that we, our specific like and kind and community of people, are not alone in this world.

Our relationship with God restores the awareness that we are yet but one thread within the woven fabric of existence.

And when we can accept and acknowledge these truths, we are able to see our existence and our world through a different lens that near automatically takes, greed, fear, and normalized violence off the table.

This is why, God wants to restore Victory for his children.

That our eyes may be opened to recognize that we do not have to fumble through our lived experience in this world as prey to be devoured.

Yet, by the Victory God has given us through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, we are empowered as bold lions to live and create a world that manifests the promises of God.

Galatians 3:14

That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Isaiah 40:31

But they that wait upon the lord shall renew their strength; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

John 16:33

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world you shall have troubles: but be of good cheer,

I have overcome the world.
