John 14:27
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Whether it is fear around being diagnosed with COVID-19, fear of being the victim of violence or fear of loosing your source of income; fear has taken hold over this world and is blocking the body of Christ from stepping out of the pre-existing conditions of this world into the full manifestation of the Kingdom of God.
Yes, God opened the door of salvation so that all might be saved and have access to eternal life. With that comes the knowledge, power, and ability to step out of the fears that have plagued the children of God sense Adam and Even first stepped into this manifested world.
As children of God, when we accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior and took our place within the Family of God, we also took on the power to speak to fear and anxiety in our lives and command it to take it’s leave. If we speak to the fears of this world as we are called to speak to the mountains in Mark 11:23, as children of God walking in and by faith, those fears and everything associated with and attached to them must leave our lives.
Mark 11:23
For verily, I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
We cannot receive the full manifestations of God’s abundance that he has promised and is pouring out if we continue to claim ownership of the fears and anxieties promoted and projected by man’s thirst for power and control.
Yes, there is a global health crisis plaguing the world. Yes, in many places violence of all kinds appears to be on the rise. Yes, economic shifts are threatening the financial security of many if not most.
And, the reality is this has always been the scenario playing itself out in this world. Wars over power, wealth, and control of resources. Health crisis plaguing the poor and vulnerable. Persistent economic insecurity.
If this has been the condition of the world since the first tribal schism, what are we as the Children of God waiting for to exercise our divine birth-rite to live bold, fearless, and free?
I believe God is saying to us, “My children, if not now; When?”
When will we rise and stand firm in our identity as the Children of God in this world and speak to all the mountains of fear, anxiety and manufactured lack and command them to “Move out our way”?
For God has told us that every battle of and in this world, is not ours but his. He has told us that he is with us in all things and will strengthen us so that we may stand in righteousness (right-us-ness).
2 Chronicles 20:15
And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the Lord unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s.
Isaiah 41:10
Fear thou not; for I am with thee be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; I will help thee; yea I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Brothers and Sisters, let us stand firm in our faith and identity as children of God called to walk in dominion over every situation and circumstance this world presents.
Let us call upon the wisdom of God to lead us during these challenging times.
In God’s wisdom there is understanding and knowledge that shall cast down all fear and self-doubt.
