This week I was blessed by watching two mid-week house of worship bible study broadcasts that pointed back to the beginning of man’s faith journey in the Garden of Eden and the Israelites exodus from Egypt. While very different presentations they both echoed a similar message that our faith in God has been an anchor tool of our survival and prophesied arrival into eternal life and heaven that the spirit of confusion has been attempting to disconnect the Children of God from since the beginning of this manifested life journey.
One presenting from a theological and mythological perspective on God’s first pointing to the cross in Moses fashioning a serpent out of bronze and declaring that they who looked upon the snake would be healed from the snake’s death bite. (Numbers 21:4-9) The other painting a vivid picture of the temptation of Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden as man’s first test of faith.(Genesis Chapter 3)
As I reflected on both messages throughout the week, I found myself inspired and deeply blessed by the reality that our faith in God is not only based in God’s ability to, on our behalf, overcome every adversity this world might put upon us, but that our faith is truly anchored in the pre-existing glory of God.
That because I, we as Children of God, Families of God, Houses of God, and Nations of God, receive and acknowledge that God is and that because God is, we are, that we have access not only to God’s healing, correcting and resorting power in this world. Yet that, at the core of our faith and salvation through Jesus Christ, is access to the pre-existing glory and manifestation of God.
What is God’s pre-existing Glory?
Yes, God can and will heal us of our ailments. God can and will supply every need in accordance with his divine order; and God can and will correct our wayward lands. The pre-existing Glory of God is more than what our Child of God membership card can get us.
It is the level of relationship with God that existed before Adam and Eve and near every tribe, family and nation following shifted their trust from God and his instruction and direction to their own knowledge and that of the spirits of confusion who have been betting on our demise since the serpent first said Yea to Eve.
It is the state of having a divine relationship with God where we did not question God’s intention for our existence. It is the state of being where we did not doubt God’s commitment and willingness to supply our every need, because God had supplied our every need. It is the state of existence where we were not subject to the fear and shame of our fleshly bodies because we knew that God, the father of our spirit and anchor of our souls had intentionally and lovingly created us.
This pre-existing state of Glory in God was a place of balance and peace for the Children of God and the lands that God had instructed us to be fruitful, multiply and replenish. For in this state our purpose was known to us and our pleasure in that which God had provided was not questioned, doubted, or shamed.
As the days of sickness, lack, suffering, fear and what for many feels like global anguish continues, it is this state of pre-existence with God, that I hear God, my Father in Heaven, echoing his children back into.
Matthew 11:28
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest.
What is the heavy laden that Jesus speaks of in Matthew 11:28?
It is the heaviness that this world has in some way put upon many and most, especially those who claim a divine connection to the creator. It is persecution, it is poverty, it is the overconsumption, theft and privatization of the natural resources God intended to provide for and sustain all.
In world health terms, the pre-existing conditions of man. The conditions that exist because man’s selfishness, unbelief in a God divine existence and thirst to overconsume and exploit one another in reaction to fear of oppression and lack.
These are the world’s pre-existing conditions that God is inviting his Children, and all who dare believe to step out of and into God’s pre-existing Glory. A divine glory made available to all through the sacrifice and blood of Jesus Christ and every child of God that has been murdered and had their spirit broken by the ways and conditions of man’s world.
I know that even for many claimed believers daring to talk about salvation is taboo. Claiming the power of salvation on a public platform is near a declaration of social isolation.
Well, in a world where social isolation is becoming a standard state of existence for many, where disease is running rampant, where economic insecurity because of greed and overconsumption is a chronic state of existence and global politics either holds a steady state of confusion or sparks a disastrous conflict; I believe it is time to step forward to step back and try something outside man’s power wheel and construction.
Faith!
I dare to stand on my Faith. As a wise woman recently said to a group I was on Zoom with, “I choose to stand on the verses”. Not the Keith Sweat vs Bobby Brown type of versus. I mean scripture and sacred divine text kind of versus. For me that is the anchor text of the Bible, for others it might be the Karan, Torah or Sutras.
I choose to stand upon that which I know can create a more peaceful, balanced, and divine existence within myself and for others. Because, when I stand on the versus, I know I have and hold the power within myself to restore, revive and replenish. I can bring peace to my mind, soul, spirit, and body no matter what this world has chosen to claim as its next disastrous state of being.
And through my Faith in the word and promises of God, I can step out of the pre-existing conditions of this world into the Pre-existing Glory of God.
I can step into my heaven on earth harnessing the power of God to navigate this global plague called a pandemic. I can revive my God given gifts and talents to provide for myself and contribute to family and community from a healthy place, gifting much needed Love and Hope into this world, as God has requested.
